This Privacy Policy describes how Retro Dating Apps LLC ("Reel Love," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal data when you use Reel Love: Retro Video Dating (the "Service").
It applies to all users globally, with additional rights for residents of the European Union, the United Kingdom, and California as described below.
Retro Dating Apps LLC is the data controller (for GDPR purposes) and the business (for CCPA/CPRA purposes) responsible for your personal data.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Account & profile data: email, display name, age, location, interests, relationship goals, gender, and preferences you provide.
Photos and videos: dating tape videos, prompt clips, and photos you upload or record through the in-app recorder.
Messages: the content of your chats and conversations with matches.
Phone number: collected for SMS verification codes where used, to prevent fraud and abuse.
Payment data: processed securely through our payment provider (Base44 Payments / Wix Payments); we do not store full card numbers.
Usage data: how you interact with the app, device information, and approximate or precise location for matching and features.
Sensitive personal information (under CCPA/CPRA): precise geolocation, sexual orientation and relationship goals, and video content that may include biometric characteristics. We limit use of sensitive data as described below.
LEGAL BASES FOR PROCESSING (GDPR)
Consent: where you affirmatively agree to specific processing (for example, optional features).
Contract: processing necessary to provide the Service you requested, including matching and messaging.

AUTOMATED DECISION-MAKING & AI PROFILING
We use automated processing to generate match suggestions, Reel Love Scores, and AI Date Planner recommendations. These are suggestions, not determinations of compatibility or outcomes.
Under GDPR, you have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing that produces legal or similarly significant effects. Our automated features are designed to be assistive, not determinative.
You may object to certain automated processing by contacting us through the Contact page; we will consider your request and may limit the relevant features accordingly.
SHARING & THIRD PARTIES
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
We share data with service providers who help us run the app (hosting, payments, video processing, SMS, analytics, AI providers) under contracts that require them to protect your data and use it only for our purposes.
We may share information when required by law, to protect the safety of any person, to enforce our rights, or to respond to lawful requests from public authorities.
Your profile and videos are visible to other users according to your privacy settings and the matching features you use.
We may share aggregated or anonymized data that does not identify you.

We do not sell your personal information, as "sell" is defined under California law.
We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Because we do not sell or share your personal information, no opt-out is required; however, you may still submit a request to limit our use of your sensitive personal information through the Contact page.
YOUR RIGHTS — GDPR (EU/UK)
Access: obtain a copy of your personal data.
Rectification: request correction of inaccurate data.
Erasure ("right to be forgotten"): request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements.
Restriction: request that we limit processing of your data.
